College Park police say they’ve broken up a major auto theft ring that involved several communities in metro Atlanta, Ga.
Detective Dustin Matthews tells WSB-TV that some recent arrests have allowed the department to clear 16 cases of stolen vehicles. He said they potentially could clear 25 of the crimes.
Police say they’ve arrested three people and are searching for three others. Detectives said the suspects in custody confessed to 12 auto thefts in East Point, Hapeville, Union City, Atlanta and Fulton County.
