Kentucky Boy Injured in Lawnmower Accident Loses Arm, Foot
A young northern Kentucky boy who survived being run over with a lawn mower is scheduled to be released from the hospital later this month.
WKYT-TV reports 3-year-old Brandon Mefford has had seven surgeries and doctors had to amputate his right arm above his elbow and his right foot. Right now, he is going through physical therapy, but his family expects him to be released on May 21.
The boy’s grandfather was mowing a neighbor’s yard on April 4 in Mason County when Brandon fell in front of the mower.
The boy’s mother, Elizabeth Mefford, says it has been difficult ordeal, but she is proud of the progress her son has made.
