Worker Electrocuted at Kentucky Auto Parts Plant

A coroner in central Kentucky says an employee at an auto parts plant has been electrocuted while he was working on electrical equipment.

Scott County Coroner John Goble told the Georgetown News-Graphic that the 44-year-old Lexington man was stricken around 3:30 a.m. EDT Wednesday at Aichi Forge in Georgetown. The man’s name was not immediately released, pending notification of his family.

Goble said his office and state Occupational Safety and Health officials were investigating. He says no foul play is suspected.

Aichi Forge officials did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The company makes products for manufacturers including Toyota, General Motors, Dana and Hino Trucks.
