Carolina Troopers Stage Joint Checkpoint on Border
Police in North Carolina and South Carolina are trying to show that traffic safety has no borders.
South Carolina troopers are joining their counterparts in North Carolina on Tuesday night for a state line checkpoint on U.S. Highway 321 north of Clover, S.C. and south of Gastonia, N.C.
Also at the checkpoint will be deputies from York County and Gastonia County and several other jurisdictions to check licenses, look for impaired drivers and do other public safety duties.
York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant says cooperation among all law enforcement agencies no matter where they are is critical to keeping people safe.
