Georgia Roofer Suffers Fatal Fall
Authorities say a roofing worker fell 20 feet to his death while working at a Columbus, Ga., warehouse.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley tells The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer that the worker was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour after the fall on Wednesday.
The worker was identified as 34-year-old Gary Vielweber, an employee of Allstate Roofing Co.
Authorities say he fell through the roof of the warehouse building on Cargo Drive.
