Time is Running Out for FEMA Grants
The Federal Emergency Management Agency says time is running out for victims of Hurricane Isaac.
FEMA will take grant applications for assistance through Oct. 31. Homeowners and renters can apply for help through FEMA for temporary housing, home repairs and other expenses not covered by insurance.
Applicants can register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or through the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362.
The Small Business Administration is continuing to take applications for low-interest disaster loans to cover residential and business losses not compensated by insurance.
