Boy Dies in Accident at Mississippi Restaurant
An 11-year-old boy died when a column of concrete blocks fell on him outside a Tupelo, Miss., restaurant.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green tells The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal Lorenzo Washington, of Tupelo, was playing near some concrete blocks outside the Huddle House, where his mother worked, when the blocks fell and crushed him.
While an autopsy hasn’t been conducted, Green said it appeared Washington broke his neck in the accident and his death is being ruled as accidental.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m. Sunday.
