South Carolina DMV Lifting Drivers’ Suspensions This Week
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is allowing drivers with certain types of suspended licenses to come in this week and apply for a new chance.
The DMV says it will lift or shorten suspensions for drivers who meet all of the conditions of their punishment, pay all fees and make sure insurance is filed.
Some of the suspensions covered in the program include underage drivers suspended for excessive points or those suspended for operating an unlicensed taxi or vehicle. It also covers some of those suspended for operating an uninsured vehicle.
Drivers must complete an eligibility form and visit a DMV office this week.
