Atlass Enhances SeaWave Marine Insurance Program
Atlass Insurance group has enhanced its SeaWave marine insurance program to offer coverage to those with vessels built after 1970 and absentee owners with second homes or seasonal dockage in Florida, the Caribbean and Central America. The product also insures six or 12-passenger charters.
SeaWave is underwritten by Lloyds of London and available through more than 600 independent insurance agencies nationwide, including Atlass.
“SeaWave has been very successful because it allows boat owners the flexibility to boat and cruise the way they want to, as opposed to having their insurance company controlling their lives,” said Atlass Insurance Group Vice President, Laura Sherrod.
The insurance is being offered through Atlass Special Risks, the wholesale division of Atlass Insurance group, a worldwide provider of commercial and marine insurance for more than 30 years.
The SeaWave product offers affordable rates and more flexibility by insuring boat and yacht owners with vessels valued between $50,000 and $2 million, full liability coverage of up to $5 million and a windstorm deductible.
