Alabama Couple’s Wedding Ring Found with Help from Fans, Facebook
A couple celebrating their first anniversary had nearly given up hope of finding their lost wedding band.
Rob and Dari Roden had attended last Saturday’s Birmingham Barons baseball game, where Rob’s band went missing.
A 5-year-old boy found the ring, and turned it in to the stadium’s lost-and-found collection. WBRC-TV reported that he team quickly posted the photo on Facebook, and the picture was shared more than 850 times.
Dari was about to buy a replacement ring on her lunch break Monday. The 72-year-old ring had belonged to Rob’s grandfather, who passed away several years ago.
Then she checked Facebook, and saw a photo of the ring.
Now, after it was returned to the couple, Rob says the experience made him feel like “there’s still people who care in this world.”
