Tornadoes Confirmed in 2 North Carolina Towns
The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado hit two Wake County, N.C., towns.
The weather service said Sunday that a tornado with winds of 80 mph touched down in Garner shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. The storm caused some roof and window damage, but no injuries were reported.
The tornado had touched down in Willow Spring shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. A shed was destroyed and several trees were damaged and one home suffered roof damage. There were no injuries.
