Crane Tips Over Onto Cars, Home in Florida
A Tampa Bay-area home was damaged along with three vehicles and a travel trailer when a crane tipped over.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says the crane operator jumped to safety when the crane he was using to remove a storm-damaged tree started to fall Sunday morning.
No other injuries were reported. The crane didn’t damage the property of the Largo homeowner who needed the tree removed.
However, the crane fell onto three nearby cars and an RV. Deputies say the fall also caused severe damage to a neighboring home.
It’s not clear what caused the crane to tip over. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
