Former Vallejo Ins. Broker’s Office Searched
Investigators from the California Department of Insurance Fraud and Investigations Divisions, along with the Vallejo Police Department, served a search warrant April 22, 2003 to former insurance broker Jimmie Earl Jackson.
According to investigators, Jackson was operating Jaxon Insurance Services in Vallejo. CDI revoked Jackson’s insurance license in September 2001 for accepting premium money from a client and failing to obtain a valid insurance policy. In April 2003, Vallejo Police Department discovered Jackson was continuing to sell insurance, which led to another investigation by Vallejo Police and CDI.
Investigators learned Jackson was paid over $700 for a homeowner policy in June 2002. Jackson allegedly cashed the client’s check and provided an insurance certificate as proof of coverage. In October 2002, a fire caused over $50,000 in damages. The client contacted Jackson and was told there was no insurance.
Investigators determined the insurance certificate policy number was false and no insurer received any premium money from Jackson.
