Nev. Commissioner Orders Insurer to Cease & Desist
Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice A. Molasky-Arman has ordered
Liberty Liability Foundation, Self-Funding Automobile Liability (Liberty Liability) to stop all unauthorized insurance activities, including automobile liability programs in Nevada.
Liberty Liability is also known as or affiliated with Americus Liability Foundation, who was also named in the cease and desist order.
The Department of Business and Industry, Division of Insurance(Division) staff became aware of the alleged unauthorized activity after receiving an inquiry about a proof of insurance card from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) issued by “Liberty Liability Foundation, Self-Funding Automobile Liability (Liberty),” based in Columbus, Mississippi. Division records indicate that neither Liberty Liability nor Americus Liability Foundation are licensed or authorized to transact insurance business in Nevada.
