Caliber Collision Centers Promotes Walcher to VP of Corporate Development and Governmental Affairs
California-based Caliber Collision Centers, an operator of collision repair facilities in California and Texas, announced the promotion of John Walcher to vice president of Corporate Development and Governmental Affairs.
Since Walcher joined Caliber in March of 2000, the company has grown from 31 to 68 centers, with annual revenues currently exceeding $220 million. According to Matthew Ohrnstein, CEO, Walcher has been a key contributor to the strategic direction of the company.
“John has managed numerous acquisitions and has been instrumental in the company’s expansion into several new markets,” said Ohrnstein. “These efforts have been essential to the continued growth and success of our business. John’s experience in corporate development, his knowledge of the collision repair industry, and the relationships he has developed within the California legislative community, uniquely position him for this new leadership role.”
In March 2000, Walcher joined Caliber Collision Centers as Director of Corporate Development and was responsible for managing the valuations, due diligence investigations and negotiations related to the acquisition of collision repair centers in California and Texas. Walcher was promoted in 2001 to senior director, and in 2002, his responsibilities were expanded to include governmental relations.
