Copart Acquires Ore. Facility
Copart, Inc. announced that it has acquired a salvage facility in Eugene, Oregon.
With the addition of this 19-acre location Copart now has 104 locations throughout North America. “The Eugene facility will help reduce towing costs and relieve capacity issues at our Portland location,” said Willis Johnson, Copart’s CEO. “Our Portland facility sent trucks as far south as the California border to pick up vehicles, which is over 250 miles away. We will now service this area out of Eugene.”
Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers.
