JT2 Teams with Jopari Solutions on Comp Program
Jopari Solutions Inc., a provider of integrated payments automation services for insurance payers, and JT2 Integrated Resources Inc., a California Third Party Administrator specializing in public entity, high tech and healthcare industry workers’ compensation self insurance claim services, announced commencement of production level automated disbursement services for JT2 clients.
JT2 becomes the first TPA in California, and among the first nationally,
to roll out dynamic integration of financial transactions for clients, medical providers and claim vendors. JT2’s new Payments Portal is reportedly a milestone in efforts supported by key recommendations to Gov. Schwarzenegger, submitted in August by the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation that would mandate electronic claim payments.
Jopari Solutions Vice President Kate Bennett, said, “We are very
pleased to partner with innovators like JT2 to bring low cost, high efficiency automated payment processing into the California workers’ compensation market. Electronic disbursement capability not only reduces processing costs for payers by 70%, but also is the preferred reimbursement method of virtually all medical providers.”
Required use of Medical Provider Networks by employers under the state’s latest workers’ comp reforms is reportedly seen as a critical benchmark spurring adoption of electronic payments. The new MPN delivery model incorporates numbers of non-occupational physicians expected to demand EFT bill payment that mirrors the convenience and low cost of electronic healthcare claims adjudication.
Under the agreement, JT2 adds flexible payment processing to its mix of client services, comprising conventional payment arrangements, electronic funds transfer, print and mail services, and personalized “cash cards” that clients may use for stated-value injured worker benefits, as well as for a variety of other employee disbursements.
