DTI Signs Utah Medical Insurance Assoc.
Delphi Technology Inc. (DTI), a provider of technology solutions to the professional liability insurance market, announced that Utah Medical Insurance Association (UMIA) has purchased DTI’s OASIS Policy, Financial, Claims, and Risk Management software. UMIA is a reciprocal interinsurance exchange headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The OASIS implementation at UMIA is planned for completion within eight months, with the initial 20 users utilizing OASIS for their day-to-day operations in fall 2005. To further enhance their operation, UMIA will also utilize DTI’s reinsurance management, reporting, data warehouse, and document processing solutions.
A major catalyst reportedly for UMIA’s new system initiative was their need to overcome the limitations of their current system, which could not adequately provide for UMIA’s future growth. The OASIS solution will enable UMIA to support their planned growth via the scalable and flexible functionality provided by the system.
The OASIS professional liability product suite is a complete end-to-end insurance processing solution for insurance carriers and MGAs who market and administer professional liability lines of business.
UMIA provides medical professional liability insurance and related products to health care providers in Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
