Nordman Co-Sponsors ‘Disability Without Disaster’ Seminar May 17
Handling employee disability issues without disabling the entire company has reportedly become a hot topic among Ventura County, California employers, and more than 1,100 companies in the county with 10 or more employees are being invited to learn the latest in this sensitive legal area at a half-day seminar on Tuesday, May 17, from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
The “Disability Without Disaster” seminar is co-sponsored by the Ventura County Employment Advisory Council (EAC) and Nordman Cormany Hair & Compton, a Ventura County law firm.
“We’ll review how companies should handle disabled employees’ benefits and compensation, required leaves of absence and proper documentation of disabilities and leaves of absences,” said Karen Gabler, a Nordman partner.
Gabler, along with another partner in her firm, Diane Becker, will lead the session at the Palm Garden Hotel at 495 N. Ventu Park Rd. in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
