Digital Photo Services Reducing Risks
A newly-redesigned Web site now offers high-quality digital photos of any real or personal property, including vehicles, streets, and intersections, to provide insurers with more accurate information quickly and efficiently.
The new FastSnap Web site lets insurance underwriters, agents and brokers order digital snapshots taken by local photographers. Multiple photographers will now compete with aggressive pricing and faster turnaround times, according to CEO Jerry Burg. “Now our customers can compare prices and view on-time returns for up to 10 photographers in a zip code,” said Burg. “They can choose a photographer with a proven track record and get faster results.”
FastSnap’s photographers post digital photos to the Web site, usually within 3 to 5 business days, which enables agents and brokers to assess information and offer insurers a clear picture of the risks involved in a particular property. High-resolution photos can
be printed directly from the Web site at no extra charge, and frequent users can save their settings to speed up data entry on multiple orders.
FastSnap service is currently available in California, Arizona, and Nevada, and will soon expand into Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. Further expansion into the Midwest and East is set for 3Q 2005.
