Mitchell Medical Offering AutoPay to Decision Point Suite
Mitchell Medical, a division of San Diego-based Mitchell International and a provider of automated casualty claims and medical bill review solutions and services, announced the release of Decision Point AutoPay – a complete payment management solution for auto insurers.
AutoPay provides efficient, reliable, electronic funds transfer and remittance advice for first and third party claims. In addition, payment status inquiry and automated payment dispute resolution is available online offering further value. AutoPay’s web-based architecture allows for convenient access to payment information from anywhere.
AutoPay reportedly expands the functionality of Mitchell’s industry-leading Decision Point suite of products, processing all payment types (medical, claimant, beneficiary, vendor, indemnity) and media (EFT, print/mail) under a single platform. AutoPay represents a new tool to aid insurers with cost-containment by reducing labor and operational expenses and potentially detecting payment fraud.
Key features of Decision Point AutoPay include:
— Generation and disbursement of payments, with payment instruments tailored for each customer (EFT using the ACH Network, SAS 70 accredited print and mail with postal tracking);
— Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) with synchronized presentment in a variety of formats;
— Payment aggregation, with one or more ERA, allowing for more efficient payment delivery;
— Active 7-year data warehousing, including search/retrieve and cross-payment history;
— Automated payment status (reason code and payer defined status);
— Automated dispute resolution via the Decision Point AutoPay Web Portal;
— Two-way communications and task messaging between claims adjusters and payees;
— Attachment uploading for document submission;
— Active Payee EFT enrollment and network deployment.
