Workers’ Comp Claims Control Launches Educational DVD on CA Senate Bill 899
Workers’ Compensation Claims Control (WCCC) completed their latest supervisor’s training DVD, entitled “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly,” focused on how to direct medical treatment.
Filmed live, this DVD is designed to educate human resource supervisors and employers on the California Senate Bill 899’s Medical Provider Network (MPN). Touted as “the first line of defense against losing medical control,” this DVD outlines in simple chapters the Medical Provider Network’s good parts, bad parts and how it can get really ugly if employers don’t play by all the new rules.
The DVD runs approximately one hour and will be offered at various seminars scheduled around the state. It is also available at the WCCC Website (www.wcccusa.com) by calling the Los Alamitos office. Cost is $79.95 plus sales tax and shipping and handling.
WCCC president, Stuart J. Baron said, “Since we can’t be everywhere at the same time, I wanted a vehicle to get the message out to employers and supervisors about the new Work Comp Reform Acts most powerful tool. Seemingly innocent mistakes by management can make this the ugliest work comp reform act yet. On the other hand, after reviewing the DVD, supervisors will have the ammunition necessary to ward off the applicant’s attorneys. It can get really bad out there, really fast, and I’m happy we were able to put this together in a timely manner for California employers.”
Baron added, “This educational DVD presentation will enable human resource personnel and employers to learn what are the good, bad and ugly’ truths about the California Senate Bill 899 Workers’ Compensation Reform Act and how it can work for them.”
