Employers Insurance Group Cuts Calif. Workers’ Comp Costs
Nevada-based Employers Insurance Group (Employers) has reduced its workers’ compensation insurance costs, providing California physicians and surgeons improved special group pricing. Insurance and services are offered through Employers Compensation Insurance Co., one of the companies of Employers.
New pricing for qualified accounts at the special group rate begins with October business. The new base rates are enhanced through increased credits for both new and renewing participants who qualify.
Broadened underwriting guidelines offer coverage in California for up to 43 medical specialties, including expanded operations such as dialysis (on-premises exposures), radiology, x-ray clinics and urgent care centers, the company said. Flexible payment plans are also available for appropriately-sized operations. Employers’ minimum premium has been lowered to $750 to accommodate doctors with low payroll.
Physicians and surgeons are being encouraged to contact their brokers or independent insurance agents. Employers will determine eligibility and provide quotes on qualified submissions. Insurance agents can call Employers customer support at 800-232-3085 for more information. Employers is rated “A-” by A.M. Best. Web site: www.eig.com.
