Two California Firefighters Arrested Amid Arson Probe
Two volunteer firefighters under investigation for a string of arson fires are in a Fresno jail tonight as authorities probe nearly three-dozen blazes in and around Laton, California.
Christopher Furtado and Teddy Lee were arrested in Kings County and booked into the Kings County Jail for multiple arson charges.
Their arrest comes as part of an ongoing investigation into more than 30 fires in the Laton area over more than a year, including a blaze earlier this month that destroyed the Kings Country Club clubhouse south of Laton.
Furtado and Lee are both members of the Laton Volunteer Fire Department.
