Insurance Information Network of California Expands Spanish-Language Resources
As the Latino population continues to grow in California, the Insurance Information Network of California IINC has made it a priority to reach out to Spanish-speaking consumers with helpful tips on shopping for insurance, understanding risk and its impact on insurance costs and helping families cope with disasters and their aftermath. And the association recently expanded these efforts by broadening the Spanish-language section of its Web site.
The newly expanded IINC Web site includes Spanish-language information on how to get the most for your auto and homeowners insurance dollars; what to do at the scene of an accident; how to file a claim and better navigate the claim process; and how to make sure California families are prepared for a major disaster. The site also includes downloadable insurance-related brochures and web-based tools to help families better manage their financial priorities.
“It’s more than just translating English language information,” said IINC Executive Director Candysse Miller. “We need to understand the important issues that Spanish-speaking communities face and communicate how insurance can help families reach their American dream.”
