Younger Elected President of Inland Empire Claims Association
Richard P. Younger, a managing director in Crawford & Co.’s U.S. Property & Casualty segment, has been elected president of the Inland Empire Claims Association (IECA).
The IECA is a claims associations that promotes both professionalism in the insurance industry and significant philanthropic work in southern California, where Younger is based.
Younger joined Crawford in 1990 as a casualty adjuster and later was promoted to a supervisory position. He then served as manager in two California branches for 12 years and was appointed to his current position in January. In his latest role, he oversees property and casualty adjusting operations in Crawford’s San Diego, Brea, Riverside, Los Angeles and Chatsworth, Calif., locations.
Younger has been active in IECA for 10 years, also serving as president of the organization in 2002. In his current term, he plans to focus on offering continuing education credits and relaunching the organization’s Web site. “Continuing education is a necessity for our group, particularly for the adjusters and carriers,” he said. “By offering continuing education credits, we believe we’ll see a more active and involved membership, so both our members and the organization overall will benefit.”
