Idaho Launches Fraud Awareness Week May 4
The Fraud Awareness Coalition, under the direction of the Idaho Department of Insurance, has organized Fraud Awareness Week May 4-8 to provide an educational program to the citizens of Idaho.
The objectives of the Coalition are:
-To raise awareness about the impact and consequences of fraud,
-To teach Idahoans how to recognize fraud and protect themselves from it and
-Encourage consumers to report fraud to the appropriate authorities.
A seminar schedule, list of sponsors, links to fraud Web sites, and other information is available on the Coalition Web site, http://fightfraud.idaho.gov/.
The Coalition is made up of members of the insurance industry, the Better Business Bureau, and other community and government organizations. Speakers knowledgeable about various types of fraud will present these seminars.
