New New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Judge Named
The appointment of a new workers’ compensation judge means New Mexico now has nine people to hear and decide disputes over benefits to injured workers.
State Workers’ Compensation Administration Director Glenn R. Smith announced the appointment of Albuquerque attorney Lori A. Martinez to the Dispute Resolution Bureau.
The members of the Albuquerque-based bureau hear workers’ compensation matters throughout New Mexico.
Four of those hearing the issues are mediators, and the other five are judges.
Judges are appointed for an initial one-year term.
