Wyoming Newspaper Estimates Hail Damage at $46M
Wyoming’s Gillette News-Record estimates damage from a spring hail storm in Gillette could top $46 million.
The newspaper published the estimate this week after consulting with contractors, repair shops and suppliers.
The estimate includes $28 million in roof and gutter replacements and $18 million in vehicle repairs.
The storm hit May 26, moving south to north. The worst damage appeared to be over the Westover and Foothills subdivisions and at two car dealerships along Westover Road.
The newspaper says insurance companies have been reluctant to release claim information.
