Granada Corp. Plans to Hire 110 for Claims Calls in Colorado
A California-based call center operator said it plans to hire 110 bilingual home-based agents in Colorado Springs, Colo., over the next year to complete insurance sales and claims customer service contracts.
The Gazette reports that Granada Corp. of Santa Barbara has scheduled a job fair at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center in Colorado Springs to recruit agents.
CEO Kit Cooper said claims agents would start out earning about $9.50 an hour. Sales agents must be licensed by the state of Colorado to sell insurance and would earn about $14 an hour to start. Agents must provide their own computers, high-speed Internet service and a dedicated traditional telephone line.
