Calif. Commissioner-Elect Jones Makes Executive Appointments
California Insurance Commissioner-Elect has appointed his executive team at the Department of Insurance. The team includes:
- Chief Deputy Commissioner Nettie Hoge;
- Deputy Commissioner, Health Policy Janice Rocco;
- Special Counsel and Deputy Commissioner Geoff Margolis;
- Deputy Commissioner and Legislative Director Michael Martinez;
- Deputy Commissioner, Community Programs Chris Shultz;
- Deputy Commissioner, Policy Patricia Teneso Sturdevant.
Jones said he would retain current DOI staff members:
- Deputy Commissioner, General Counsel Adam Cole;
- Deputy Commissioner, Consumer Services and Market Conduct Tony Cignarale;
- Deputy Commissioner, Communications and Press RElations Byron Tucker;
- Deputy Commissioner, Financial Surveillance Sherwood Girion;
- Deputy Commissioner, Enforcement Rick Plein;
- Deputy Commissioner, Rate Regulation, Joel Laucher;
- Deputy Commissioner, Administration and Licensing Services Robin E. Baker;
- Deputy General Counsel Patricia Staggs;
- Press Secretary, Communications and Press Relations Ioannis Kazanis.
Appointees are subject to approval by Gov.-elect Jerry Brown.
