Nevada Thunderstorm Downs Trees, Causes Flooding
A thunderstorm ripped through Las Vegas Sunday afternoon, downing trees and knocking out power.
The storms moved in from the south and caught many people by surprise.
KLAS-TV reports that high winds downed trees around the valley and roads were flooded.
NV Energy company says about 10,000 customers were without power at one point during the storm. Crews worked to restore the electricity.
A flash flood warning had been in effect but has since expired.
