Arizona DPS Warns Drivers of Potential Dust Storms Today
The National Weather Service says a strong cold front will be moving through the state causing potentially high winds that could kick up dust.
When a dust storm approaches, drivers should exit the interstate and wait for the storm to pass. Drivers caught in the middle of a dust storm should turn their lights and slow down. Stopping on the roadway could potentially hurt you and others.
If you find it necessary to stop, pull completely off the roadway, turn your lights off, and take your foot off the brake.
Last month, a dust storm caused a chain-reaction crash northwest of Tucson involving more than 30 cars.
