Workers Remove Giant Sticker From Hawaii Freeway
Several lanes of a busy Honolulu, Hawaii freeway have been reopened after state workers took down a giant sticker covering a corner of an exit sign.
When scanned by a cellphone, the code sends the Web browser to a local clothing company. A representative of the company UDOWN says they didn’t know about the sticker until someone told them about it last week.
Transportation spokesman Dan Meisenzahl tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser those responsible for putting up the sticker put themselves, motorists and workers at risk.
Two lanes of the H-1 freeway had to be closed to remove the sticker from the westbound Vineyard Boulevard exit sign.
