Wyoming Builder Accused of Bilking Customers
A hearing is set for Tuesday to decide if a Wyoming builder accused of bilking customers out of thousands of dollars should stand trial in Natrona County District Court.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports Greg Jarrard has been charged with larceny, check fraud and obtaining goods by false pretenses.
Prosecutors say they spoke with 20 of his customers who said they hired him to perform construction work, but he failed to complete a single project. Jarrard is accused of collecting more than $150,000 from clients across Wyoming while only providing $34,000 worth of work and materials.
Court documents identify eight of Jarrard’s clients as being from Natrona County, where authorities say the builder falsely claimed he was a licensed contractor.
Jarrard’s attorney declined to discuss the case in detail or make his client available for an interview.
