Homeless Blamed in Vacant Home Blaze in Las Vegas
Fire officials think homeless people are to blame for a weekend blaze that badly damaged a home east of downtown Las Vegas.
No one was inside and no one was hurt when Clark County firefighters were called to the home at Mohave Avenue and Frank Street a little before 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Fire spokesman Dan Kulin says they found the single-family home engulfed in heavy smoke and fire.
It took only a few minutes to quell the flames.
Investigators haven’t said how the fire started. Damage is estimated at $40,000.
