Shooting, Fireworks Starts Washington Fire
Burning tires are still smoldering Monday morning at a wrecking yard in Belfair, Wash., that caught fire overnight.
KING-TV says the fire was started at Belfair Truck and Auto Wrecking by someone firing a gun. It hit a storage bin where fireworks was stored. The fireworks exploded in a blast that was heard at a nearby fire station. The Mason County fire district also says there were a number of calls about the blast.
The blast set fire to some car parts and a stack of tires, which are very difficult to extinguish.
Sheriff’s deputies questioned two suspects.
