FEMA Denies Expanded Aid to Colorado Fire Victims
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has rejected a request from Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper for expanded aid to uninsured and underinsured property owners who suffered losses in the High Park Fire.
Larimer County Manager Linda Hoffmann said Tuesday the federal government determined that the additional aid is not warranted.
One person died in the High Park fire, which started June 9 and destroyed 136 square miles and 259 homes west of Fort Collins.
