Geico Plans to Hire 300 New Associates in Arizona
Geico, a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, plans to hire 300 new associates at the company’s regional office in Tucson, Ariz. The hires will include associates to fill new positions, and to make up for attrition. The Tucson office employs more than 1,200 associates and offers an array of career opportunities in sales, claims and customer service.
“We are pleased to have an opportunity to invest in the growth of Tucson and the surrounding community,” said Martha Furnas, Geico’s regional vice president.
College graduates can also apply for Geico’s Supervisor Leadership Program, an entry-level, fast-track management training program that develops future business and team leaders. Candidates for this selective program are required to have a bachelor’s degree in business, or significant business coursework, demonstrated leadership skills, as well as an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
“Tucson continues to provide us with a great pool of educated candidates that have a strong connection to the community,” said Furnas. “We are looking for bright and enthusiastic professionals who will be ambassadors for the company.”
