Blast Damages Alaska Homes
An explosion in the Fairbanks neighborhood of Chena Ridge blew out windows and knocked objects off walls in nearby homes.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says the blast occurred Saturday afternoon.
Alaska State Troopers say the cause of the blast has not been determined, but it came from a property in the area of Heather Drive and Gateway Drive. Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters says the explosion appears to have occurred outside. She says there is no sign that anyone was hurt.
Peters says several homes were damaged.
