Shed at Maui Coffee Site Destroyed in Fire
Damage is estimated at $5,000 after a fire destroyed a shed at the MauiGrown Coffee base yard in Lahaina on Monday.
Maui fire officials say the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. in the small wooden shed where the property caretaker sleeps. Firefighters arrived to find the structure and a nearby pile of wood pallets engulfed in flames.
The caretaker wasn’t in the shed at the time and no injuries are reported. The fire is believed to be accidental.
