Scottsdale Insurance Company Names George Spedding Vice President of Claims
Ariz.-based Scottsdale Insurance Company, an excess/surplus and specialty lines carrier, named George Spedding vice president of Claims, replacing Susan Wain upon her retirement.
Spedding has a broad claim background with more than 33 years in the insurance industry, including significant experience in commercial claims as well as a proven leadership track record. In his most recent role as associate vice president, Commercial Claims, he was responsible for leading the Nationwide Commercial East operations.
“Besides his great depth of experience,” said Mike Miller, Scottsdale’s president, “George brings a strong focus on teamwork and partnership to our claim operation that is a great fit with our customer-centric strategy.”
Prior to joining Nationwide, George spent 20 years in key claim positions with Liberty Mutual, Alexsis Risk Management, Chubb and Son, and CGU Insurance.
