Boulder Blames Poor Road Conditions on New Snowplow Equipment

Boulder, Colo., is blaming new equipment designed to lengthen the life of snowplow blades for bad road conditions that brought a deluge of complaints over the weekend.
Many Boulder residents complained about the conditions of major streets after a storm that ended Sunday dropped more than 11 inches of snow.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports the city’s snowplow drivers said their plows didn’t have enough power and they weren’t cutting the snow properly.
Boulder officials say they learned their lesson and will do a better job, even if it means wearing out the new blades.
