Car Fatally Crushes Mechanic at Arizona Dealership
Authorities say a mechanic is dead after being crushed by a car he was working on at a Phoenix, Ariz., used automobile dealership.
Phoenix Fire Department officials say the 43-year-old victim had been working beneath the car Tuesday at Fred Carries Contracts Inc. when a jack slipped, causing the vehicle to fall on his chest.
Authorities say the man was dead by the time Phoenix police and firefighters were called to the dealership.
The name of the mechanic wasn’t immediately released.
Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the death.
