PGU Introduces New Professional Liability Policies for Public and Educational Entities
Richmond, Virginia – Professional Governmental Underwriters, Inc. (PGU) today announces the introduction of new, enhanced public entity errors and omissions (E&O) liability insurance products, with policies designed for Public Officials Professional and Employment Practices Liability, Educators Professional and Employment Practices Liability and Police Professional Liability exposures.
The Public Officials, Educators and Police Professional Liability coverages are available on a surplus lines basis in all states. Limits of liability up to $5 million are available for municipalities, special service districts and authorities, public and private schools (grades K-12), colleges and universities and police departments related to all of the above.
The new forms have been crafted with exclusive features such as defense expenses in
addition to limits for all three segments (educators, police, and public officials), broad employment practices liability (EPL) coverage including wages and third-party exposures (with coverage for emotional distress) for Public Officials and Educators, non-monetary relief coverage, broad supplemental payments coverage and more. In addition to the coverage elements, the PGU program continues to provide free unlimited access to experienced employment law attorneys via an HR Helpline where policyholders can receive personalized attention for any employment law questions.
