Arrowhead Announces Workers’ Compensation & Commercial Division Executive Appointments
San Diego, CA, 02/26/2010 – ARROWHEAD General Insurance Agency, Inc., a leading provider of top rated insurance programs, is pleased to announce executive management level promotions. These changes are effective immediately and will improve operational customer service and efficiency for Arrowhead’s vast producer network.
Arrowhead Workers’ Compensation and Commercial Programs have been consolidated into one division with the underwriting and support teams segmented based on account size and complexity. “We believe this approach will produce greater responsiveness, synergies, focus and enhanced servicing capabilities,” said Chris Walker, Arrowhead’s Chief Executive Officer.
“After talking to our producers and analyzing our book of business, we have realigned our team to ensure our plans are executed successfully,” Walker said. “We have the people, talent and expertise to get the job done and I’m pleased and confident in the direction we are headed.”
As part of the reorganization, Arrowhead has announced the following appointments:
- Stephen Boyd has assumed the duties of Commercial Division President. Boyd has been with Arrowhead since 1995 and most recently served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Boyd will now oversee the Commercial Division’s five products – Commercial Auto, Commercial Package, Construction, Surety and Workers’ Compensation. “He is a proven leader with tremendous management skills and we have unwavering confidence in him. Steve has been working closely with our workers’ compensation and commercial teams for the past 10 months and has already made significant contributions,” Walker said.
- Dick Hoye has been appointed Chief Information Officer and will oversee Arrowhead’s team of 60 Information Systems and Technology professionals. Hoye was previously Director of Data Management. “Dick has a wealth of knowledge in technology, insurance and the operations of Arrowhead,” Walker said. “He has proven to be an exceptional mentor and trusted colleague over his nearly 20 years with us and we are fortunate to have someone of his caliber on our team continuing to position our company as a leader in technology.”
- Steve Bouker, President of Arrowhead, will assume the additional role of Chief Operating Officer. Bouker is responsible for the overall operations and profitability of the organization as well as maintaining excellent relationships with all insurance carriers, producers, vendors and employees. Bouker and Boyd have been leading the Commercial Division reorganization and will continue to work closely with the senior management teams to ensure the Commercial and Personal Divisions meet their goals.
