Thom Smith Joins Sullivan Brokers as President
Los Angeles, CA – 9 November 2010 – Thomas E. Smith has joined Sullivan Brokers Wholesale Insurance Services as President effective November 8, 2010. Most recently, Smith was Great American Insurance Company Division President of Great American Custom Insurance Services.
Sullivan Brokers, part of the Los Angeles based Sullivan Group, is a national wholesale brokerage with expertise in healthcare, professional liability, management liability and specialty casualty.

Mr. Smith has held senior management roles with American Re-Insurance Company (Munich Re) and Farmers Insurance Group. “Having known and worked with Thom for many years, I’m just delighted that Thom has joined our group,” said Jerry Sullivan, Chairman of the Sullivan Group. “Thom’s professionalism and extensive experience in our industry is an outstanding addition to Sullivan Brokers.”

Mr. Smith has both a B.A. (Government) and a M.A. (Public Law) degree from Southern Illinois University. He also has the CPCU and CLU designations. Smith will be based in Los Angeles.
