Protective Specialty Announces Expansion of Professional Liability Product Offerings
Indianapolis, Ind. Mar. 25, 2011 – Protective Specialty Insurance Company (PSIC) has expanded its product offerings to include Technology Professional Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability (A&E), Lawyers Professional Liability and Intellectual Property Lawyers Professional Liability. These new products are offered in addition to the company’s current Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL), Real Estate Professional Liability and Media Professional Liability programs.
A subsidiary of Protective Insurance Company, rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best, PSIC is completing its second year of the planned expansion of its professional lines suite of products and services. In addition to the new products mentioned above, PSIC partners with leading law firms and risk management firms to offer customers pre- and post-claims consultancy services.
The PSIC professional lines initiative is led by Managing Director Ed Velasquez, a 30-year veteran with extensive experience in the creation, management and underwriting of diverse professional lines portfolios. Velasquez gained experience with AIG, CNA and Zurich, where he helped build those facilities into market leaders in professional liability.
Directors Nathaniel Aiken and Daniel Carreras each have over 25 years of experience with national professional lines writers. Their management and underwriting experience contains a broad range of Errors & Omissions (E&O) classes, including MPL, A&E, Technology, Media, Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), Fiduciary Liability and other diversified financial products.
