Arkansas Fire Departments get Grants
Arkansas Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman have announced that two Arkansas fire departments will share more than $340,000 in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The grants announced Thursday are from the department’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and are being awarded to the Etowah Fire Department and the Arkansas Fire Training Academy in Camden.
The Etowah department will receive $134,700 to purchase a brush truck while the training academy will receive $207,400 to purchase firefighting gear and equipment.
