Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments
Branchville, N.J.-based Selective Insurance Company of America, a subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. announced the following officer appointments:
Kathleen Imparato (Wantage, NJ), to assistant vice president of Selective’s Business Practices Group. Imparato joined Selective in 2002 as a government affairs liaison. Prior to that, she was a compliance manager at Aetna and Prudential Health Care. She holds designations as both a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and an Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and is a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP), and the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES).
Michael MacMullin (Ogdensburg, NJ), to assistant vice president and personal lines operations program manager. Previously, he served as personal lines manager for Selective’s Business Services Unit. MacMullin joined Selective in 1997 as an underwriter. Prior to that he was a team lead at AT&T Global Information Services/NCR. He holds holds designations as a Project Management Professional (PMP), an Associate in Insurance Management (AIM) and an Associate in Underwriting (AIU). Additionally, Mr. MacMullin is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Alexander Maizys (Mount Arlington, NJ), to assistant vice president and director of personal lines pricing. Maizys joined Selective in April 1997 as a senior actuarial analyst. He was promoted to associate actuary in 2000, and to supervisor of personal lines pricing in 2003. Prior to joining Selective, he was an actuarial analyst at Atlantic Mutual Insurance Company. He is an Associate with the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), as well as a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
Steve Plescia (Bel Air, MD), to assistant vice president and field operations manager for Selective’s Mid-Atlantic Region. Plescia joined Selective in 1995 as a corporate trainee, and has served in various positions, including agency management specialist (AMS) and AMS field supervisor. Plescia has attained the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
Brad Rigotty (Vernon, NJ), to assistant vice president and actuary for actuarial reserving. Rigotty joined Selective in April 2002 as actuarial reserving manager. Prior to that he was associate actuary with Milliman. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and an Associate with the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), as well as a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
